Your role is to develop a point of view about what deserves our collective attention.

You will sit in close proximity to the founder and editorial team, feeding the ideas, frameworks, and cultural references that shape Designer Babe’s essays, programming, private salons, and long-term institutional archive.

This is an unpaid, high-context contributor role. To keep this contribution deeply rewarding, sustainable, and respectful of your energy:

• Bounded Commitment: This is an initial 6-month cohort, requiring 3–5 hours per week. It channels the reading, screenshotting, and rabbit holes you are likely already exploring into a structured editorial practice.

• Defined Rituals: You won’t write massive academic papers. You will contribute through concise weekly research briefs, focused reference channels, and thematic signal-tracking.

• Direct Proximity & Editorial Context: You work directly alongside leadership and editorial collaborators, seeing how raw cultural references are refined into published pieces, salon themes, and public programming.

• Visible Credit & Portfolio Attribution: When your research shapes an essay, an event thesis, or an archive piece, your contribution is visibly credited.

• The Foundation Tier: As Designer Babe expands its funded editorial commissions, fellowship grants, and staff roles, our research contributors are the first we commission.

• Direct Mentorship & Care: You will be treated as an intellectual contributor, not a search engine. We will be generous with feedback, context, and introductions to help advance your career.

• Track emerging creatives, independent studios, technologies, literature, and cultural movements before they hit mainstream feeds

• Assemble lightweight thematic research briefs that inform Designer Babe’s essays, newsletters, and convenings

• Identify compelling, under-the-radar voices, founders, and practitioners for interviews, panels, and intimate gatherings

• Source historical and contemporary references that give conceptual depth to our ideas

• Build and maintain a living digital archive of references, texts, and imagery that define this era of Designer Babe
