How do I make money as a creative without burning out?

Burnout in creative careers is almost always a systems problem disguised as a personal one. The creative who is burning out is usually not working too hard in absolute terms. They are working without a structure that protects their energy, without pricing that reflects the real cost of their work, and without offers that can generate revenue at a pace that does not require them to be producing continuously.

The shift away from burnout requires building an income model that is not entirely dependent on billing time. That means productising some of what you know into offers that can reach more than one person at once, building passive or semi-passive income streams from your expertise, and pricing the remaining one-to-one work at a level that makes the volume sustainable.

None of this happens instantly, but all of it starts with a clearer understanding of what you are actually selling and who is willing to pay what for it.
